One of my biggest challenges over the years is I lead a portfolio life.

What the heck does that mean? It means I have many seemingly unrelated interest that fail to integrate into a whole.

  • I’ve had a heck of a career in Supply Chain and technology. I worked my way up from the stockroom to the boardroom. I’ve founded and sold companies. I’ve traveled the world on business. And it put my kids through school. And bread on the table. And eventually bought me enough breathing room to do the things I enjoy. Purposeful things that frankly put air in my sails more than being a rat in the capitalist mob.
  • I have been blessed…or lucky…or good, I dunno, but I’m still here to talk about it.
  • The first part of the extra-capitalist world came in the form of the general form of distance running, and then into the specific form of a love hate relationship with the venerable Boston Marathon. My nemesis. My savior. Then all that running rekindled my relationship with writing. And I started the RunRunLive podcast to find a home for it. But then something amazing happened and I met all these wonderful people and had so many glorious otherworldly adventures with them.
  • Then the pandemic hit and I had a flash of inspiration to write an apocalypse story. I had always wanted to this. It’s one of those things that had been kicking around in the back of my head since I was a kid. So I did. And people liked it!

And the question was how are all these things related except in the scramble of my slight neurodivergence?

And we come all the way back around to this website.
